Zimbabwe Bans Political Gatherings

President Robert Mugabe’s despotic regime has banned all political gatherings indefinitely. Citing the current “political situation“, Police Commissioner-General Augustine Chihuri, has distributed a circular placing the police on high alert. All holiday leaves for security personnel in the country have been cancelled. All gatheirngs have been banned in areas hit by the cholera outbreak. The Mugabe regime has lost its legitimacy. This police action constitutes a de-facto move towards martial law. Power sharing talks with opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai are essentially dead. Opposition leaders, journalists and humanitarian workers are increasingly being jailed on trumped up charges. Mr. Mugabe claims that the opposition is training insurgents in neighboring Botswana. The government has become increasingly more paranoid, knowing that the end of their criminal government is within sight. South Africa should begin preparations for a deluge of members of Zimbabwe’s criminal elite seeking political refuge in the upcoming weeks.
