Who Can’t Become President?

Now that the ridiculous debate about Barack Obama’s citizenship and eligibility to sit as the next American president has been put to rest by the US Supreme Court’s decision not to hear a case brought by a New Jersey man, we can now focus our attention on other notable American politicians who are ineligible to run for the presidency.

As we all are well aware, California’s popular governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger is ineligible. The Terminator was born in Austria in 1947.

Though these Secretaries of State represented this country’s interests through out the world, Henry Kissinger (Germany) and Madeline Albright (Czechoslovakia) would not qualify, as well as, former National Security Advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski (Poland).

Florida Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart can run for president, his brother, Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart cannot, having been born in Cuba.

Though founding father Alexander Hamilton could have run for president, he was actually born on the Caribbean island of Nevis.

All this could make for good talk show fodder with politician turned talk show host Jerry Springer, but even he couldn’t be president. The former mayor of Cinncinnati was born in the United Kingdom.
